Hi! Thanks for downloading CIA Welcome. This is a replacement for the standard 7.5.1 startup screen.
Since I am not a programmer and don't have the appropriate applications, you will have to make the changes yourself to the system software. In order to do this you will need ResEdit.
First, make a copy of the file called System 7.5 Update. You should never work on the original file. System 7.5 Update should be located in your System Folder.
Open the CIA S/U.RSRC file with ResEdit. Double click on the resource named PICT. Double click on picture 128 located in there. From the Edit menu, select copy.
Open the COPY of System 7.5 Update with ResEdit. Double click on the resource named PICT. Double click on the picture numbered -16506. From the Edit menu, select paste.
Close everything up. When ResEdit asks if you want to save the changes to System 7.5 Update, select OK. Then Quit.
Remove the original copy of System 7.5 Update by puting it somewhere safe. Place the copy of the System 7.5 Update you have modified in the System Folder. Restart your Macintosh.
In full color mode (256 colors or higher) your Mac should greet you with the new screen.
